The Rutgers NJMS Summer Student Research Program (SSRP) at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ, is an eight-week, full-time research experience where you work under faculty guidance in clinical or laboratory research. You explore subjects like cancer biology, cardiovascular research, infectious diseases, neuroscience, public health, surgery outcomes, emergency medicine, pediatrics, pharmacology, and biomedical imaging. You complete research ethics training, lab safety certification, and develop skills in abstract writing and creating PowerPoint presentations for the closing ceremony.
