Projects Abroad’s Medical Internship in Nepal gives you a firsthand look into healthcare in a developing country while working alongside local doctors and medical students. Based in the Chitwan District, you’ll shadow physicians across departments like physical therapy, oncology, and family medicine, observing hospital rounds and treatments. The program also includes lectures at a teaching hospital, where you’ll learn diagnostic and treatment methods taught to local medical students. Beyond the hospital, you’ll take part in community outreach projects and cultural excursions, visiting Buddhist temples, exploring Nepal’s national parks, and even learning to cook local dishes.
