The Women’s Sports Medicine Center at HSS runs an intensive summer internship designed to give students hands-on exposure to sports medicine with a focus on female athletes. Over eight weeks, you’ll shadow physicians, orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, nutritionists, and sports psychologists, gaining experience across clinical care, performance, and rehabilitation. In addition, participants assist with research and complete an independent project, building both academic and professional skills.
The program offers three tracks- Sports Medicine (for medical students), Sports Rehab/Nutrition & Performance (for undergraduates), and Pre-Med (for undergraduates preparing for medical school). Ladder University Internship Program is a selective, virtual internship program where you work with startups and nonprofits from around the world! The startups range across a variety of industries. As part of their internship, each student will work on a real-world project that is of genuine need to the startup they are working with, and present their work at the end of their internship. You’ll work with patients ages 5 and older, including those with chronic conditions such as cancer, diabetes, arthritis, or heart disease, as well as children struggling with weight.
