If you’re a high school student living in Atlanta and thinking about exploring career paths early, applying to a summer internship can help you start that process.
Why should I intern in Atlanta as a college student?
Atlanta gives you access to a wide mix of opportunities that are within reach for local students. The city has active sectors in technology, logistics, aviation, business, media, research, and healthcare, and many organizations in these areas bring on high school interns during the summer months. These roles introduce you to day-to-day tasks, workplace routines, basic project work, and the kind of communication that teams rely on.Â
What if I live in Atlanta? Why should I pick a local summer internship?
Choosing a local program can also be practical because you avoid travel and housing costs that often make summer programs more expensive. The work you complete can support your resume, strengthen your college applications, and give you specific examples you can use during interviews or in essays. Over time, these experiences help you develop a clearer understanding of what you may want to study or pursue later on.
To help you choose, we’ve put together a list of 15 Atlanta summer internships for college students! If you're looking for more prestigious internships, check out this set of blogs!
