Veritas AI, founded and run by Harvard graduate students, offers programs for high school students passionate about artificial intelligence. If you're new to AI, ML, and data science, the AI Scholars program is a good fit. Over 10 sessions, you'll learn the basics of AI and data science and get to work on real-world projects. For those who are more experienced with AI concepts and Python, there's the AI Fellowship with Publication & Showcase, where you’ll work one-on-one with mentors from top universities on a unique project. You’ll also have access to the in-house publication team to help you get your work published in high school research journals. Levitt Songwriting Jam Camp focuses on songwriting, performance, and creative confidence for high school students interested in music. You will learn how to write lyrics, develop melodies, and shape original songs through guided sessions led by music educators and local female songwriters. The  Neuroscience High School Scholars Program is a free, virtual six-week program that introduces you to neuroscience with a focus on Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. You will attend seminars three days a week on topics such as brain imaging, neurodegeneration, and public health challenges. There are journal clubs, virtual lab activities, and case-study discussions to understand how neuroscientists investigate brain disorders. The program also includes Neurology Grand Rounds, where you’ll have the opportunity to observe presentations from clinicians and researchers on current topics in neurology. You will work on a final research project, explore a specific question, and present your findings.

The University of Texas Southwestern Inspiring Careers in Mental Health Internship is a two-week virtual program for high school students aiming to pursue mental health professions. You’ll engage with licensed clinical social workers, neuropsychologists, psychiatrists, and physician assistants to learn their daily responsibilities and training pathways. The program is designed to give you a clearer understanding of the mental health workforce and how different roles contribute to patient care.

The Stanford AIMI Summer Research Internship is a two-week virtual program designed to introduce high school students to the use of artificial intelligence in medical research. You will attend lectures on the fundamentals of machine learning and applications of AI in clinical settings. You will attend sessions with guest speakers from different fields, including academia, industry, government, etc. You’ll work on a group project to solve a real problem in the medical space using AI. Throughout the program, you’ll be mentored by Stanford faculty, graduate students, and research staff. Students receive a certificate on completion. 


Stephen is one of the founders of Lumiere and a graduate of Harvard College, where he earned an A.B. in Statistics. He founded Lumiere as a PhD student at Harvard Business School. Lumiere is a selective research program where students work 1-1 with a research mentor to develop an independent research paper.
