The D.E. Shaw Legal & Compliance Internship is a ten-week summer program held at the firm’s New York City headquarters. You’ll contribute to projects that support the firm’s investment and compliance operations, and you’re expected to bring strong analytical skills. The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office offers undergraduate internships during the spring, summer, and fall semesters, giving you direct exposure to criminal justice and legal practice in New York City. If you're interested in corporate law, you should request placement in the White Collar Crime division, where you’ll help prosecute cases involving embezzlement, fraud, and corporate theft, often involving millions of dollars and high-profile defendants from banks, investment firms, and political organizations. As an intern, you’ll assist with legal research, draft documents, analyze evidence, and support ongoing investigations. You’ll also attend trials and hearings, shadow witness interviews, and participate in a Mock Appellate Argument exercise.

Alvarez & Marsal’s summer internship program offers undergraduates hands-on experience in corporate tax law through placements in areas like Compensation & Benefits, Tax Consulting, and Global Tax Incentives. You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams to support clients on financial and legal matters, including writing technical reports, responding to IRS inquiries, conducting tax research for mergers and acquisitions, and performing quantitative analysis to ensure compliance with compensation and accounting regulations. The SEO Law Fellowship is a competitive, pre-law summer program designed for incoming law students from underserved backgrounds. It begins with a two-week Law Institute, where you’ll receive academic and professional training to prepare for your 1L year. This includes legal writing seminars, lectures in criminal law and torts, and mentorship from law professors and tutors to help you build foundational skills for law school exams and coursework.
After the Law Institute, you’ll spend eight weeks as a paid summer associate at a top corporate law firm, working alongside attorneys and other summer associates. Your responsibilities may include legal research, drafting briefs and memos, assisting with transactional deals, and supporting pro bono matters.

BCG’s summer internships offer corporate law experience through placements in their Legal & Risk Management team. You’ll work on client-facing projects involving contract compliance, financial regulations, and legal risk assessment. Interns contribute to data analysis, corporate research, and presentation design, gaining exposure to consulting workflows and legal strategy. The internship includes mentorship, networking events, and training sessions. Strong performers are often considered for full-time roles after graduation.

FSU’s Donald J. Weidner summer program supports academic development and law school application prep for students hoping to pursue corporate law roles as an attorney. You’ll take a series of classes taught by law school professors studying core concepts from the 1L curriculum and legal writing coursework to boost academic skills. You’ll also speak with law school admissions staff about the application process, including workshops on writing personal statements and cover letters to help you begin preparing your application. You’ll also get to explore career paths after law school by speaking with current attorneys and judges, learning how you can use your law degree for corporate work in the private and public sectors.
