The Radiological Sciences Laboratory REU at Stanford is a 10-week full-time summer program that introduces undergraduates to advanced imaging research across MRI, CT, X-ray, and ultrasound. Participants are matched with faculty mentors and contribute to original projects in image acquisition, analysis, and computational imaging. The experience includes weekly lectures on imaging science, participation in RSL meetings and seminars, and informal discussions with faculty about graduate school and research careers. Students also present their work during a final poster session, gaining experience in scientific communication. The radiology internship for undergraduates offers stipends to selected students, while others may participate voluntarily.

As part of their internship, each student will work on a real-world project that is of genuine need to the startup they are working with, and present their work at the end of their internship.
